Excavator Operator
Krupp Whitney Plumbing is looking to hire an experienced Excavator Operator to join our growing team. We specialize in sewer and water service repairs, excavation, lining repairs, and residential plumbing services throughout the Pittsburgh area.
We are looking for someone who can operate equipment safely, work efficiently on job sites, and take pride in clean, professional work.
Responsibilities:
- Operate excavators and other excavation equipment safely
- Dig for sewer and water line repairs/replacements
- Assist with site prep, trenching, backfilling, and cleanup
- Work alongside plumbing crews to complete jobs efficiently
- Follow safety procedures on every job site
- Help maintain equipment and tools
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience operating an excavator
- Knowledge of sewer/water excavation is a plus
- Reliable, hardworking, and willing to be part of a team
- Able to work outdoors in different weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license required
- CDL is a plus, but not required
Plumbing Laborer
We are seeking a hardworking and dependable Plumbing Laborer to assist our plumbing and sewer crews with excavation, material handling, job site preparation, and general labor duties. This is an entry-level, non-licensed position with opportunities for advancement. No plumbing license is required.
Responsibilities:
- Assist plumbers and sewer technicians on residential and commercial job sites.
- Dig trenches and excavations using hand tools and equipment.
- Load, unload, and transport tools, materials, and equipment.
- Assist with sewer line repairs, replacements, and cleanout installations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Operate basic hand and power tools.
- Backfill excavations and assist with site restoration.
- Follow company safety procedures and instructions from supervisors.
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
Qualifications:
- Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift 50+ pounds regularly.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- Reliable transportation.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to learn.
- Construction, excavation, or plumbing experience is a plus but not required.
